PUBLIC SECTOR: British Council Scotland nets PR agency

The British Council Scotland has appointed PS Communications Consultants, following a four-way pitch, as its first PR agency. A two-member PSCC team, headed by account director Giselle Dye, will report to British Council Scotland public affairs manager Joan Barrie. The council, which is part-funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, promotes links between industry, education, arts and science in Scotland. As part of the work, the agency, which is headed by MD Ian Coldwell, will promote this year's conference of the council's Scottish International Resource Programme.
