College Hill's financial services team appointed by Towry.

Towry, one of the UK-based providers of independent wealth advice, has appointed College Hill's financial services team following a competitive pitch. The agency will promote Towry's fee-based independent wealth advice and independent discretionary investment management proposition to UK investors with assets in excess of £100k. The College Hill team will be led by Tony Friend and Duncan Mackenzie-Reid.

Xchanging, the global business processing firm, has called in Maitland to support its financial and corporate PR. The company, which provides HR, tech and procurement services, serves customers in 43 countries. Maitland will handle strategic financial PR and investor relations advice. Maitland chief executive Neil Bennett will lead the account.

Credit Suisse has appointed Andres Luther and Gavin Sullivan as co-heads of global comms, on an interim basis, replacing HSBC-bound Charles Naylor (PRWeek, 13 May). Luther is head of group comms in the Zurich head office, while Sullivan is head of comms EMEA in London.

AMO, the global network of strategic and financial comms agencies, has formed alliances with Ad Hoc Communication Advisors in Italy and Swedish PR agency Springtime. Maitland is part of the network in the UK.

Samruk-Kazyna, the sovereign wealth fund of Kazakhstan, has appointed Merlin to lead financial comms in support of the country's planned People's IPO programme. It is designed to enable people to participate in the growth prospects of the country's leading companies and to assist in the development of the country's capital market and investment environment.
