Samsung tasks Golin Harris with pan-Euro growth

Korean technology giant Samsung has selected Golin/Harris International for the task of enhancing the firm's corporate image in a pan-European campaign.

Korean technology giant Samsung has selected Golin/Harris International for the task of enhancing the firm's corporate image in a pan-European campaign.

The decision on the pounds 300,000 account follows a competitive three-way pitch. The account will be led by account director Jessica Bondy, reporting directly to the firm's Korean headquarters.

Golin/Harris has worked with Samsung since 1996 on project work and monitoring.

The European brief will see the agency become heavily involved in Samsung's digital product range, and will be a more proactive campaign, seeking to build brand awareness.

Samsung UK recently appointed Cohn & Wolfe (PRWeek, 23 February) to a consumer brief after Complete Marketing Communications resigned the account. This relationship is unaffected, and the two firms are expected to work closely on the company's behalf.

- Golin/Harris has also been appointed to handle consumer and trade PR for FastWeb Media's launch of football website megasoccer.com.
