LOS ANGELES: Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has named Elizabeth West as head of global publicity and promotions.
West has been promoted from her role as London-based director of publicity and promotions for the European region to become vice-president of publicity and promotions for the company's international market, based in LA.
She fills the post left vacant when Breena Camden moved to the company's Fox Searchlight division and reports to Keith Feldman, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment senior vice-president of marketing.
West heads a team of four in LA but oversees the work of hundreds of staff in 42 geographic regions.
Feldman said: 'For the past four years, she (West) has done an outstanding job leading the publicity and promotions activities for the European region.
'Throughout that time she has worked with the LA and territory PR groups to develop innovative and ground-breaking campaigns for titles including Tomorrow Never Dies, Independence Day, Titanic, Anastasia and Star Wars.'
As well as overseeing global publicity and promotion, she will also be responsible for setting the promotional strategy for the international launch of Fox's latest releases on video and DVD formats. This also includes MGM titles on video and DVD, for which Fox has the distribution rights.
The company is expected to name West's successor in Europe next month.
West joined Fox Home Entertainment in 1994 as the company's first director of publicity and promotions for the European region. She previously worked at London-based PR agency DSA.
