Home and lifestyle store The Pier has appointed Hammond Communications on a corporate and consumer PR remit.
The agency will work alongside the high street retailer's in-house PR team on the brief, which is part of a pounds 1.5m spend this year on marketing its 23 outlets.
'Previously a lot of work had been done getting the brand known in the home and lifestyle market. We want to build on that and get The Pier into the mainstream media,' said Suzanna Hammond, who heads Hammond's three-strong team.
Hammond was appointed following a three-way pitch, which included incumbent Cameron PR.
Hammond is twice the winner of the PRWeek award for Best Consumer Campaign for its work with Jersey Royal Potatoes and the Tomato Growers Association.
