Part of the Bell Pottinger Group, Resonate won the one-year account following a competitive pitch that involved five other agencies.
Marketing director for Planet and Windsmoor, Alison Jordan, said: ‘We wanted an agency that could take a holistic consumer view of how to present the new positioning across all media for both brands, yet with a strong fashion eye.’
As part of the brief, the agency will look to create a new positioning for each of the brands within consumer media and present the collection to stylists and journalists.
Director at Resonate, Sarah Street added: 'Our PR campaign will start immediately and focus on introducing the fantastic pieces in both the Planet and Windsmoor autumn/winter 2011 collections. Each has a very different story and we anticipate a great deal of interest in them.'
The brands are retailed mainly in department stores in the UK, Canada and Ireland. Planet brands are also sold in the Jacques Vert Group's own stores in the UK.
