Nicol will be based at Aspect’s Covent Garden office, reporting to CEO James Hunt.

Hunt commented: 'Aspect’s rapid growth over the past three years has been driven by our senior team’s ability to creatively address strategic communications issues for clients. Toby brings a wealth of board-level experience in travel, transport and tourism, the sectors which we expect to play a significant part in our future growth.'

Nicol joined easyJet in 1999 as part of the management team which grew the airline into the UK’s biggest carrier by passenger numbers.

Most recently Nicol was corporate affairs director at frozen food manufacturer Findus Group, which he joined in early 2010 having left easyJet in mid 2009. He also spent four years at Charles Barker PR from 1995.

The new travel, transport & tourism team has already been engaged by The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) to support the implementation of its 11th Global Travel and Tourism Summit in Las Vegas (17-19 May 2011), the annual gathering of 1,000 travel and tourism industry leaders.

Aspect has offices in Brussels, Paris, London and Hamburg and operates joint ventures in The Balkans and Turkey. Clients include AkzoNobel, DSM, Ferrero, and Kellogg’s.
