Technology agency AxiCom has been hired by the body linking the Government and IT industry on a brief to sell the e-commerce concept to businesses.
The agency's combined PR and design account with E-Skills NTO was won last week after what is thought to have been a three-way pitch.
Director of design arm AxiCom Create, Annamaria Albano, will oversee the work, reporting to E-Skills CEO Karen Price and project manager Nigel Payne.
E-Skills NTO was set up to promote e-commerce within SMEs. It has tasked AxiCom with helping position the body as 'the reliable and authoritative organisation that SMEs can turn to for advice on the adoption of technology,' Albano said.
The first stage of the project, according to AxiCom MD Julian Tanner, is a pilot scheme aimed initially at the Kent, Milton Keynes and Isle of Wight areas.
