MEDIA BRIEFS: United/BTopenworld LineOne up for sale

United News & Media and BTopenworld are to sell their joint venture ISP and portal, LineOne. Both parties said it no longer fits into their business plans. United is concentrating its resources on B2B, and has disposed of pounds 3b of assets over the last year - most recently the Express group of newspapers. LineOne was launched in 1997.
