Fledgling e-business specialist PR company Mantra - set up nine months ago - has won a six-figure account with leading internet company Yahoo!
Head of consumer PR Edward Waldron-Davies will lead a team of six on the account, and report to Yahoo!'s European corporate communications manager Sue Jackson.
Mantra was appointed without a pitch, and aims to ensure a consistent brand message across Yahoo!'s European markets. It will support Yahoo!'s consumer and corporate communications in eight countries, and liase with locally retained agencies.
Yahoo! also uses Fleishman-Hillard for consumer PR in the UK and Ireland.
'Mantra's full-service offering and creative approach will enable us to deliver a successful brand message,' said Yahoo!'s Jackson.
Mantra, which hopes to pull in fees of pounds 2m in its first year, retains accounts with online dating service company Udate, and Buy.com.
