Say Communications has been called in to raise the profile of smoke inhalation treatment Cyanokit, following a competitive pitch. The agency will run a campaign to highlight the dangers of cyanide in smoke among firefighters and emergency medical teams.

FD has promoted Liz Shanahan, founder of Sante Communications, to global head of healthcare and life sciences. Shanahan was formerly managing director and head of FD's medical and healthcare practice, FD Sante.

TRINITY PR, the healthcare specialist, has been appointed as the first external PR agency to work alongside the UK's health and education charity, Central YMCA. The agency will work on a national campaign to promote body diversity and body confidence.

Stephen Whitehead, the former group comms director at Prudential, has been named as chief executive of the ABPI. The pharmaceutical trade body's director-general Richard Barker is due to step down on 25 May. Whitehead has previously worked with GlaxoSmithKline and Eli Lilly at UK, European and international level.
