Financial and public affairs agency Golin/Harris Ludgate continues to re-build its board structure with the appointment of Jane Hurley as head of its technology team.
Hurley joins as a board director from her position as global head of corporate communications and investor relations at Logica, one of the UK's largest software and computer services companies.
Her appointment marks the latest in a line of recent senior hirings at the agency, including Julia Burge as head of the financial sector (PR Week, 30 June).
The agency has been recruiting to replace a number of board directors who left following Ludgate's merger with Golin/Harris, such as former public affairs MD Stephen Lock, his deputy Richard Elsen and directors Vanessa Anderson and Tim Davis.
Hurley has a brief to head the six-strong technology division, which is part of the financial practice headed by Reg Hoare, to whom she will report.
Hurley worked at Logica for 15 years, first at an operational level as a programmer and operations manager for the company's investment banking business before being promoted to IR manager in 1998 and then head of corporate communications last December.
Logica has recruited Brig Daniels, formerly head of communications for the marine side of Rolls Royce Vickers, to take over Hurley's position.
Rolls Royce Vickers is currently recruiting to replace Daniels.
