Media Briefs: Thomas to report on Welsh rural affairs

BBC Wales has appointed its first rural affairs correspondent. Nia Wyn Thomas will be based in Bangor from 30 October and will report in both Welsh and English for radio, TV and on-line. She has worked in news and current affairs at BBC Wales for six years and used to present agriculture TV programme Ar y Tir.
