The hotel, bought out of administration last year by entrepreneurs Meir Abutbul and Navid Mirtorabi, has just undergone a recent renovation programme and Bacchus is to relaunch it to national and international markets.
Despite the refurb, the Blakes has kept its classic features that in the past attracted guests such as Diana Ross and Princess Margaret.
Oasis singer Liam Gallagher and his ex-wife Patsy Kensit spent their honeymoon at the venue, while the Duchess of York celebrated her 40th birthday there.
The agency will start work with the hotel on 1 May and plans to use traditional PR methods to increase the number of visitors to the hotel. The brief is to primarily increase coverage in print media and glossy magazines.
Since the start of the year, Bacchus has won several other accounts within this industry. In January it was appointed to look after food and beverage PR for Caprice Holdings, in conjunction with Mission Media, which looks after lifestyle media. Restaurants within this group include The Ivy, Scott’s and Le Caprice.
The agency also took on Blueprint Café and Le Pont de la Tour on 1 April and now looks after its consumer, lifestyle and F&B media campaigns. Sauce PR previously held this account.
