He was previously group head of PR at IPC, and will report to Future UK chief executive Mark Wood.
Taylor will be responsible for all aspects of Future UK’s external and internal comms, managing a team of four when he joins in late April.
Among the brand’s biggest-selling magazines are T3, Total Film, Classic Rock, Guitar World, and Official Xbox Magazine.
Taylor previously spent more than eight years at IPC Media, taking on consumer PR responsibility for some of the key brands in the portfolio. Most recently he oversaw the delivery of the consumer PR campaign for the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011.
Prior to joining IPC in 2002 Taylor was a business journalist. He spent three years at Media Week, initially as features editor, then deputy editor.
