Seventy Seven PR wins UK brief to promote US homeware giant Jarden

Homeware and kitchen appliances giant Jarden Consumer Solutions has appointed Seventy Seven PR to drive awareness of three of its brands in the UK.

The US-owned company employs more than 10,000 people in 15 countries worldwide and owns a number of consumer homeware brands.  

The agency won the six-figure account following a three-way pitch and replaces incumbent agency Pittilla PR.
 
Seventy Seven will provide consumer support for Villaware, manufacturer of premium kitchen appliances; Crockpot, the original slow cooker producer, and Bionaire, a brand focused on indoor environment products, such as fans and air purifiers.
 
The agency will report to Mark Taylor, UK marketing manager, Jarden Consumer Solutions EMEA, who said the company is stepping up the marketing of its brands in the UK.
 
He said: ‘Our brands are very well-recognised globally but our main markets are the US and Latin America. We’ve been in Europe for a while and one of the things we want to do now is drive our brands in the UK, making them household names as they are in the US.’

Seventy Seven has been charged with delivering a number of campaigns targeting food lovers, cooks and design-conscious consumers. The campaigns will target lifestyle media, food and drink titles as well as homes and interiors media.
 
Other Jarden Consumer Solutions brands include FoodSaver, Mr.Coffee and Sunbeam.
