Pharmaceutical giant Schering-Plough has appointed Athena Medical PR to handle the account for its latest hayfever treatment.
NeoClarityn, due to launch within the next three months, is a prescription version of Schering-Plough's over-the-counter brand, Clarityn.
Awarded following a three-way pitch, a five-strong team will handle the account, headed by Athena managing director Cherry Slater.
According to account director Diane Burrows the work will include medical education and specialist promotion within the medical media.
Athena, which has grown from two staff to a twenty-strong team since being set up three years ago, specialises in the ethical drugs market.
Maureen Cropper Communications, which did not pitch for the NeoClarityn account, continues to deal with the Clarityn brief.
