Perlmutter has more than 20 years' of senior level communications experience in the IT, IT services, automotive and telecommunications sectors and was formerly head of PR and internal communications, Europe and UK for Xerox Corporation.

In his new role Perlmutter is responsible for all areas of communications for CRI including public affairs, public relations, marketing communications and internal communications in an organisation with nearly 2,000 staff.
CRI has grown substantially over the past ten years, increasing its turnover from £2.1m in 2001 to £57.5m today, yet it has a comparatively low profile. Perlmutter’s role will see him raise awareness of CRI’s services within the health and social care sector and more widely.
Perlmutter said: 'CRI feels like one of the sector’s best kept secrets. It has been phenomenally successful and delivers a suite of highly effective services that change many thousands of lives each year, yet it is comparatively unknown. Raising awareness of CRI and its impact should enable many more people to gain access to its services and directly benefit from its exceptional work.'
David Royce, chief executive of CRI, said: 'Kevin’s high-level industry experience will drive forward our external communications programme and generate opportunities for CRI to communicate its aims and values to a wider audience of stakeholders and beneficiaries. We are delighted to welcome him to our management team.'
