GMTV has adopted Streamwave, an audio and web streaming technology developed by Energis and GEO Interactive. Initially it will put the weather and four of the day's news stories on www.gmtv.co.uk for quick download. GMTV claimed to be the first terrestrial broadcaster to adopt Streamwave, which does not require the user to have plug-ins.
