DUSSELDORF: Agency group European Communication Consultants has announced plans to merge its members under one new holding company and embark on an aggressive European expansion.
The network, with Top 5 German agency Kohtes Klewes at its core, aims to enter the UK, The Netherlands, Belgium, Scandinavia and eastern Europe within the next year.
ECC regards its new business model as a 'third way' between what it claims is the 'centralised structure' of major global full-service networks and the 'loose affiliations' of independents at the other end of the spectrum.
The new entity will be called ECC Holding. It made clear its new plans as it announced its anticipated financial results for the last year. The group is predicting net sales of more than pounds 30m, which amounts to a 28 per cent increase on last year's figures.
Olaf Arndt, Kohtes Klewes MD in Dusseldorf, has been appointed as spokesman for the holding company's board.
