Mid-Kent Holdings, the parent of Mid-Kent Water, has replaced its financial PR agency of two years, Binns & Company.
The account was put out to tender following the September appointment of the new Mid Kent Holdings group CEO Keith Tozzi.
He replaced Geoff Baldwin, who retired in August.
Binns & Co was invited to re-pitch with three others, including Bell Pottinger Financial, which has won the contract.
Bell Pottinger Financial director Matthew Moss and account handler Wendy Timmons will head up the account.
They will report to director of corporate affairs, Brian Clifford, and Tozzi, the former CEO of the British Standards Institution.
Clifford said Bell Pottinger would handle the financial PR across several concerns owned by Mid-Kent Holdings.
The agency is due to handle the publicity surrounding the release of the company's interim results this week.
Clifford said: 'Binns & Co was invited along with three others to pitch for the account, but company strategy dictated that Bell Pottinger be appointed.'
Binns & Co director Paul Vann said it was to be expected that with 'a management change comes change for incumbent PR agencies'.
