Harrison Cowley (HC) is to offer PR support for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day.
The partnership follows the brief carried out by HC last month for the launch of the new fair trade chocolate bar, Dubble, which was produced by the Day Chocolate Company and backed by Comic Relief in support of fair trade for cocoa farmers in Ghana.
HC's nine regional offices in England, Scotland and Wales will help Comic Relief on a no-fee basis to raise the regional profile of the biennial charity event next March.
It is the first time Comic Relief has sought such assistance for a campaign drive at regional level in its 15-year history.
HC staff in each of the regional bases will work on the account, forming close ties with Comic Relief fundraisers and publicists.
HC head of consumer PR Alan Twigg said: 'We at the agency back the brand that has raised over pounds 174m in the last 15 years, but relish the chance to do our bit to help Red Nose Day.'
Twigg will report to Comic Relief media relations manager Sarah Burke.
