Golley Slater has been brought in to manage the national PR and stakeholder campaign for The Big Lunch, which takes place on 5 June.

The event is an Eden Project idea aimed at encouraging people to have lunch with their neighbours once a year. Plan has reappointed Portland PR to support its public affairs outreach. The agency will deliver a project to boost the profile of the charity's CEO by increasing its public policy and external engagement work.

Barnardo's latest child sexual exploitation campaign, Cut Them Free, created by Forster, has persuaded Tim Loughton, parliamentary under secretary of state for children and families, that urgent and further action is needed to safeguard children.

WWF has developed a promotional campaign for its annual Earth Hour on 26 March, when people across the world will switch off their lights in unison. Torchbox has been working with WWF to develop an interactive Earth Hour UK online map to boost support for the event.

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education Europe, the membership organisation for professionals working within education in comms, marketing, fundraising and alumni relations, has asked Kindred to publicise its annual survey into higher education philanthropy.
