Zest deputy editor Sally Brown is leaving to edit the lifestyle

pages in the Sunday Times Style magazine. She replaces Michelle Pamment,

who joined Marie Claire in January this year as assistant editor.

Brown worked at Zest, a National Magazine Company title, for four

years.

She joined from sister title She, and before that worked on the

Australian women’s glossy Cleo.

Brown will edit Style’s pages on health, nutrition, fitness and

beauty.

She said: ’One of Style’s strengths is that it is not static, that it

does evolve. I hope I can make the lifestyle pages evolve too. I like to

approach subjects with humour but to also be informative.’

She leaves for the Sunday Times on 24 April, when she will be replaced

as deputy editor of Zest by Linda Bird, who is currently features editor

on the number two women’s health and beauty title. Bird joined Zest,

which has a circulation of 117,000, three-and-a-half years ago from New

Woman, where she was features editor.
