BRUSSELS: Ogilvy PR Worldwide has hired a new public affairs
practice head in Brussels.
Peter Verhille starts next week, reporting to Brussels managing director
Rob Shimmin. Verhille, who will also take the title managing director,
is tasked with integrating the public affairs offering across Ogilvy’s
four service areas of technology, corporate, health and medical and

where he was MD for the last four years . Prior to that, he was head of
Grayling’s Brussels lobbying arm, European Strategy.
Ogilvy works extensively in Brussels for European Union political
The agency, the world’s ninth largest and a subsidiary of communications
group WPP, also counts Unilever and oil firm Elf Autochem among its
public affairs and government relations clients in Brussels.
The Ogilvy team in Brussels numbers 25, eight of whom work in public
affairs. The unit was previously headed by account director Carel du
Marchie Sarvaas, who now reports to Verhille.
