Cubitt Consulting has won a five-way pitch for the corporate brief

for financial and new media recruitment consultant Norman Broadbent. The

incumbent, Colette Hill Associates, also pitched.

Martin Forrest, head of Cubitt’s new media practice, will lead the

account with support from financial services associate director Eugenie

Milbourne.

They will report to Ann Buxton, director of marketing at Norman

Broadbent.

Buxton decided to review the PR account she inherited on joining the

headhunter a year ago. ’We parted on very amicable terms,’ she said of

CHA, who had held the account for three years. Cubitt brought a

’different slant’ to the account, she said. ’We were particularly

attracted by Cubitt’s strong links to the City and the new e-commerce

world.’ Buxton said Norman Broadbent was strong in financial services

and with pre-IPO new media companies.

Cubitt MD Simon Brocklebank-Fowler said: ’We are looking to raise the

profile with key financial media, plus the media for new media, both

print and on-line.’

He admitted that a corporate account might seem unusual for financial

specialist Cubitt, but added: ’Our focuses are on audiences in new media

and the City.’

Cubitt’s work will be primarily in the UK, although there will be some

international opportunities.
