PUBLIC SECTOR: Lavelle leaves dog charity for healthcare

The National Canine Defence League, the dog charity best known for the ubiquitous slogan ’A dog is for life not just for Christmas’, is to lose its communications director, Siobhan Lavelle in May. Lavelle is leaving to join healthcare consultancy Chandler Chicco as a consultant. NCDL chief executive Clarissa Baldwin, to whom the role reports, is already looking for a new director to head the 20-strong communications department, which covers media relations, events management, youth education and campaigns.
