PUBLIC SECTOR: United Response moves PR to board level

United Response, a charity which provides support in the community for people with learning disabilities and mental health problems, is upgrading its top PR post to board-level as part of a bid to improve its communications and raise the body’s profile. Managing director Bob Tindall is on the hunt for the charity’s first director of communications and fundraising, who will oversee the 11-strong communications team and report to chief executive Sue Shayer. The combined communications and fundraising department currently has just one dedicated press officer.
