PUBLIC SECTOR: Newham in hunt for corporate PR manager

The London Borough of Newham is completing the upgrade of its communications role and is looking to appoint a new PR head. The council has abolished the press office manager role and created a senior corporate project manager for media and marketing, specifically to increase communications input into projects across the borough’s services. The council has drafted in Peter Aylmer, a communications executive in the education department, to temporarily oversee the department of six until a full-time head is recruited.
