Gavin Anderson and Company has appointed Marc Popiolek as chief

executive officer of its London practice.

He succeeds Richard Constant, MBE, who was appointed as worldwide chief

executive of Gavin Anderson (PR Week, 11 February). Previously, Gavin

Anderson himself was the chief executive. He remains as chairman.

Popiolek joined Gavin Anderson in 1995 and was made managing director of

the London office last year. Prior to this, he has worked at Financial

Dynamics as a director. For nine years, he was a journalist, working

latterly for the Daily Telegraph.

When asked about future plans for Gavin Anderson London, Byron Ousey, MD

said: ’We want to sustain our strong position in the financial

market.

Our corporate side is growing quickly and we may add a public affairs

dimension.’

Popiolek’s promotion is the latest in a series of senior appointments

made by Gavin Anderson in the last two months. These include a new

president, Robert Mead and a new executive vice-chairman, Howard Lee. He

is also chairman of the London office.

The agency has won a number of accounts this year, including work for

interactive TV company Yes TV; and Taylor Woodrow, the property

developer.

Gavin Anderson generates over pounds 25 million in worldwide fee income

annually.
