Border Lines: PR Communications for Tiger Balm

SINGAPORE - One of Asia’s biggest international brands, Tiger Balm, has hired PR Communications after a three-way pitch to launch a spin-off of its menthol ointment. PR Communications founder Eric Chan will lead the account, reporting to Ah Kuan Han, director and general manager of Haw Par Healthcare, the company which makes and markets Tiger Balm. The new product, Tiger Balm Soft, has a lighter fragrance and a softer texture. The Tiger Balm brand was launched in Singapore in 1903 by a Chinese herbalist and is now sold in over 100 countries, including the UK.
