Healthcare: The Week in Healthcare

Signature wins Astellas job

Astellas, the Japanese pharmaceutical giant, has brought in dermatology expert Signature Communications to handle its medical education account for dermatitis treatment Protopic. Signature won the account after a competitive pitch, which involved at least two other unnamed agencies.

Ketchum Pleon has appointed Amanda Sefton as MD of the healthcare practice in London. She replaces Susannah Knox, who will leave the agency after three years in the role to spend more time with her family. Sefton was previously director of healthcare for Ketchum Pleon and will now lead the agency's healthcare business.

Red Door Communications has appointed its first homegrown consultant to its management team. Laura Clark joined the company as a graduate trainee eight years ago and, having worked her way through the ranks, has been appointed associate director.

Tudor Reilly, the healthcare comms shop, has achieved the internationally recognised Consultancy Management Standard, awarded by the PRCA.
