Clothing and retail group Daks Simpson has appointed Aurelia PR in

a bid to rebuild its retail image.

Daks, which is owned by Japanese clothing group Sankyo Seiko, is aiming

for renewed focus on its retail outlets following the loss of its

28-year clothing manufacturing contract with Marks and Spencer last

month.

Aurelia was appointed after a three-way pitch and replaces the group’s

incumbent agency for the last five years, Woolfson Communications.

The account will be led by account director Sophie Kelly. She will

report to Daks’ head of communications Nicola Jones.

Aurelia has been handed the task of arranging day-to-day coverage in the

national, fashion and consumer press. The agency will also work on event

organisation and new store openings.
