Public sector PR campaigns are to be recognised with a new category
in the PR Week Awards this year.
The Public Sector campaign category is open to in-house PR practitioners
in Government departments and public sector agencies such as Government
executive agencies, local and health authorities.
The award will be given for the most effective communication programme
on a single topic. The new category is to be sponsored by the COI/TAS
Partnership, the joint initiative of the Central Office of Information
and Trinity and All Saints College, Leeds.
In another change to this year’s awards, the Broadcast category has been
split into two: Broadcast, covering PR material produced for TV and
radio; and Corporate Video/ Business TV. The deadline for entries to the
1997 PR Week Awards is 18 July. Entry forms and further details from
Lisa Patnick at Haymarket Events on 0171 413 4391.
