ITV to plug Wild website

ITV has hired a PR shop as its prepares to launch a website offering free access to 50 years of wildlife and natural history film.

The broadcaster has charged Red Dog Communications with publicity for ITV Wild, which launches next week.

The site will contain thousands of hours of footage from programmes including Partridge and Survival with Ray Mears as well as exclusive content from ITV's nature shows, such as Cheetah Kingdom and Lion Country. A team of six zoologists will be working on the service to create full searchable clips.

Red Dog will look to secure extensive broadcast and online media coverage, drawing on Survival's 50th anniversary this year.
