PUBLIC SECTOR: Sports mouthpiece hunts for PR manager

The Central Council of Physical Recreation (CCPR), the voice of UK sports from soccer to tiddlywinks, is on the look-out for a new PR manager after Rebecca Clear announced she is to leave in December to join Radio 5 Live as the station’s publicist. The body has yet to find a replacement for this key role, with responsibility for lobbying on behalf of the interests of the 270 member sports governing and representative bodies, as well as overseeing press relations and advising chief executive Malcolm Denton on PR strategy.
