- What is it good for?
Food and atmosphere are Sergio's selling points. The service remains good no matter how busy it is, and the lively chat from fellow diners and the waiters makes it the perfect backdrop for an informal journalist lunch.
- Signature dishes
The food is traditional Italian cuisine, but without the bland flavours you can so often face in restaurant chains. You can't go wrong with the pizza and seafood, or order the lasagne, as an overwhelming majority of my fellow diners recently did.
- Who's the boss?
Sergio's is a family-run restaurant that has been operating for 20 years. Sergio's son, Costa, runs the restaurant day to day.
- Tips please?
Do not ignore the dozens of picture frames on the walls - you might just recognise some of Sergio's celebrity fans staring back at you.
- What's the damage?
Your expense account will not be damaged too much - most dishes are about £9 and wine starts at about £10 a bottle.
