Martin Forrest, a former director of hi-tech specialist Banner PR,
is joining financial agency Cubitt Consulting to lead its new media and
hi-tech arm.
The post is a new one. Cubitt Consulting managing partner Simon
Brocklebank-Fowler hopes that under Forrest the practice will become the
largest source of the consultancy’s revenue within a year.
’There are a lot of smaller internet companies that want a holistic
solution comprising consumer experience as well as with the financial
community. It is a case of growing the customer base and communicating
that growth to the investment community,’ he said.
This year the practice has worked with clients including Energis,
Freedom Telecom and Somerfield 24-7.
Forrest said, ’It is a very dynamic company with expertise very useful
to e-commerce companies which are looking for a blend of PR skills. I
can provide insight into new media, as well as consumer and
business-to-business experience.’
Forrest had been at Banner for two years, during which time he directed
pan-European technology accounts including Sony and Sun Netscape
Alliance.
Previously he was head of corporate communications at hardware
manufacturer Bull (UK).
Young and Rubicam acquired a majority stake in The Banner Corporation,
which owns Banner PR, in September (PR Week, 24 September).
