The Telegraph Group, publisher of the Daily Telegraph and Sunday
Telegraph, has appointed Propeller Marketing Communications to handle
ongoing trade PR for its advertising sales department.
Propeller was appointed on retainer without a competitive pitch and on
the strength of a recent project for the newspaper group to publicise
research into the type of people who read different sections.
’It gained a great deal of coverage in advertising trade magazines,’
said Propeller managing director Martin Loat.
Propeller will advise the Telegraph’s senior advertising and sponsorship
executives on their trade media profile.

However the work will involve liaising with Joy Grover, corporate
affairs manager, who heads an in-house team of five handling all other
internal and external communications.
