Flack: (Saving) on expenses - Tom's Kitchen Chelsea, SW3

Reviewer - Chatty Dobson, account manager, New Century Media.

What is it good for?

Tom's Kitchen Chelsea is a great restaurant for quality food in a relaxed, contemporary venue. It enables diners to experience Tom Aikens' fantastic cooking without visiting his Michelin-starred restaurant around the corner. The ground-floor brasserie is perfect for a quick bite, as well as dining for larger groups.

Signature dishes

Try the Daylesford seven-hour confit lamb or the Rhug Estate Cumberland sausages.

Who's the boss?

Aikens and Sion Hamilton, his right-hand man and general manager, who has been with the restaurant since its launch in 2006.

Tips please?

The first-floor private dining room is great for meetings, and many of the dishes are available as either a starter or a main course. There is a great selection of fish, seafood and salads for those preferring a lighter lunch.

What's the damage?

Starters and salads from £6.50; pasta and risotto from £7.50; main courses from £13; and desserts from £7.50.
