’Reuters is taking its strategy to bring everything on-line seriously. I
will appoint an external agency to help with PR and am currently
researching this,’ said Highley.
Highley is based at Reuters’ London HQ, and was previously head of
marketing communications at Reuters UK and Ireland. She has been
replaced by Joanna Edwards. Highley reports to Amanda West, director of
international marketing communications.
According to West, a global PR and sponsorship initiative will aim to

will help RI build communities and deliver its message,’ she said.
RI develops and sells information and products to global financial
institutions and their clients around the world.
The PR appointments are part of a pounds 500 million reorganisation of
RI’s business to bring the service entirely on-line.
Reporting to MD of marketing Devin Wenig, West will oversee moving all
RI’s services and products on to the web, and to ’make financial markets
really work on the internet’.
’Communications will play a critical role as RI begins to sell to a much
wider audience through virtual channels,’ said West.
