She replaces Mark Cater who left the agency in November 2010 to rejoin Cohn & Wolfe.Vince has been at Chamberlain for almost 10 years, previously working as vice-president in its New York office.
She has been flying between London and the US since November while her visa provisions were being finalised and is now resuming her role as UK director for the agency.
Vince will report to US-based president and global practice lead Jonathan Wilson.
‘There have been some questions about our commitment to our London office, but we’re 1000 per cent committed to it,’ said Wilson. ‘We’ve got a great sustainable model in London and Katherine was an obvious choice to go in there and run things.’
Mark Cater left Cohn & Wolfe’s in October 2009, subsequently taking a job as managing director of Chamberlain in the UK. He returned to Cohn & Wolfe in a new role as president of its New York office in November 2010.
