Public Sector: The Public Sector Week

Worthing Borough Council has axed two publications to save a combined total of £100,000 a year. Its comms department will cut Vibe magazine, which is published three times a year. The department is also responsible for Adur District Council's comms function and is to axe its Adur Outlook publication.

Waltham Forest Council has promoted head of corporate comms Kathryn Myers to the role of assistant director of strategy and comms, on a salary of between £71,000 and £77,890. Myers has been at the council for five years.

LGcomms is launching a new website to ensure its members are kept up to date with the latest news, training and development opportunities. The website will be easier to navigate, provide a calendar of events and offer detailed event reports.
