GCI London has won the pan-European account for Procter and
Gamble’s haircare brand Pantene.
The account was awarded after a pitch against Bell Pottinger, the
brand’s UK agency. GCI has been appointed to work on an integrated
marketing and advertising campaign with a multi-million pound budget,
along with other agencies within the Grey group, including Grey
advertising, G2, the sales promotion agency and MediaCom, the media
The PR team will be involved in drawing up a template for the European
PR strategy and programme which will then be implemented by local
agencies in 26 countries.
The account will be headed by Fiona Rollo, director of GCI’s consumer
division. She reports to marketing director Achim Daub.
Pantene is the leading haircare brand in the UK and includes shampoos,
conditioners and styling products.
GCI works on several other brands for Procter and Gamble’s health and
beauty and fabric and homecare divisions, including the fragrance ’G’ by
