August.One Communications has poached the head of PR at the
Institute of Directors Enterprises, to boost its expansion into
Judy Osborn, joins the agency next week as a senior consultant with a
’roving’ brief to develop business-to-business and corporate PR, with an
emphasis on small to medium-sized businesses. She will also be involved
in new business pitches and in particular, August.One’s diversification
into general business.
The search is now on for a replacement at IOD Enterprises, who will be
given the title of director of public relations, in recognition of the
growing importance of the role, according to Osborn.
Deputy head Sarah Hanson will act as head of PR until the vacancy is

next few months, and the new person will probably have a tech-nology

The post will complement the work of director of communications Steve
Reardon, who sits on the management team with managing director Andrew

in general business would be a boost to the agency, facilitating pitches
in that area. But he added that she would also provide input to existing

the agency would initially focus on traditional companies looking to
enter into e-commerce.
’This is the pathway we are taking out of technology at the moment, but
