Brazen brought on board for PR launch of Madame Tussauds Blackpool

Merlin Entertainments has appointed PR consultancy Brazen to promote the launch of its latest Madame Tussauds attraction in Blackpool.

Brazen will work with the global marketing team at Madame Tussauds and the Blackpool cluster marketing team, which is responsible for managing the interests of the growing portfolio of attractions in the town. 

Opening in spring 2011, Madame Tussauds Blackpool will be the 12th Madame Tussauds to open around the world and the first UK attraction outside of London.

The new multi-million pound attraction will be a huge draw for Blackpool featuring new, wax figures of the quality synonymous with the iconic Madame Tussauds brand.

Sarah Lundy, Blackpool Cluster marketing manager for Merlin Entertainments, said: 'We are really excited about this new attraction and the redevelopments in Blackpool.  It is an honour to be able to work with Blackpool Council and be so closely involved in the redevelopment of one of the best loved, and most iconic, seaside destinations in the UK.  It is the perfect location for the UK’s second Madame Tussauds outside of London.'

The finished attraction will celebrate the very best of British television, home-grown sporting heroes and musical talent complete with interactive and immersive experiences themed around the nation's much loved shows, sporting obsession and household faces from the small screen.

The Madame Tussauds team at Brazen will be overseen by client services director Peter Burling and senior account director Gemma Gore. Brazen previously worked with Merlin Entertainments Group brand ‘Legoland Discovery Centres’.
