BORDER LINES: FRANKFURT - Fidelity picks comms director

International fund company Fidelity Investments has appointed Jorg Moberg to the newly created post of director of corporate communications to cover its expanding German business. Moberg will report to Paul Kafka, head of Fidelity corporate communications worldwide based in London, as well to Thomas Balk, managing director of the German operation. The creation of Moberg’s role comes after Fidelity’s rapid business expansion in Germany, which has seen the number of people employed in the Frankfurt office grow from 21 at the beginning of the year to 105 at present. Edelman PR in Frankfurt retains its Fidelity corporate and press PR role for the time being, but Moberg indicated this could change.
