MacMillan Cancer Trust PR head Patricia Tweed has created the new
role of senior press officer within the charity, having completed the
first phase of her review of its communications strategy. Tweed says her
plan is for the senior PRO to oversee the day-to-day running of the
press office, bringing the total number of people in press and PR at the
charity to nine. The move will allow Tweed to devote more of her time to
PR strategy and new campaigns and initiatives. Tweed says her review of
the public relations function will continue, and she is looking at
implementing new ways of increasing the profile of the charity across
the regions in coming months.
