Casio, the consumer electronics firm, whose brands include watches
G-Shock and Baby-G, has not renewed its contract with Jackie Cooper PR
and is taking its PR in-house.
The move follows the appointment in July of Joanna Lee to head PR for
its watch division (PR Week, 9 July).
Lee says she contacted several agencies before the decision was made to
move in-house. Jackie Cooper had worked on the consumer PR brief for the

appointed fashion specialist Kim Blake PR, whose central London office
will act as a Casio showroom for stylists and consumer press.
Lee denied that the change in strategy came as a result of Casio’s first
