The account, which is worth £50,000, will involve handling the communications around the festival until it takes place in September this year.

Throughout 2011 The Big Issue will celebrate 20 years in business, helping thousands of homeless people to help themselves and developing a blueprint for social change.

Richard Hillgrove (pictured), director of Hillgrove PR, said: 'Hillgrove PR is delighted and proud to have been chosen to represent the PR for such a positive and exciting event.'

The Big Issue festival will take place in Finsbury Park on 3 September 2011 and will host an array of high profile acts. It hopes to attract 30,000 visitors. No performers have yet been announced.

Throughout The Big Issue’s 20 years, numerous celebrities such as The Stone Roses, George Michael, Dizzee Rascal, The Libertines and Paul McCartney have supported the magazine and spoken exclusively with The Big Issue.
